Located in the province of Bari, Castellana Grotte is one of the most important and famous speleological complex in Italy.

The underground pathways extend for 3 kilometres up to a depth of 60 metres among marvellous concretions that have been created about 90 millions years ago by the erosion of the rock, the sedimentation of layers of limestone and the slowly drip of the water.

The tour ends up in the wonderful Grotta Bianca, a natural treasure among the most beatiful caves in the world, made up of crystalline stalactites, stalagmites and white alabaster columns with incredible shapes.
