Apulian products with protected designation of origin and geographical indication

Apulian cuisine is one of the most delicious of Italy and this is possible because of the quality of the Apulian products with protected designation of origin DOP and IGP, protected geographical indication.

Among the DOP products we can recognize the Mozzarella Gioia del Colle DOP, Apulian Canestrato, a hard sheep’s cheese, the famous Altamura bread, prepared with semolina flour and it has a crispy crust, and the extra-virgin olive oil, of which Puglia is the first producer region of Italy.  The DOP APulian oil approved are the Extra-virgin olive oil of Collina di Brindisi, of Daunia, of Terre d’Otranto, of Terra di Bari and of Terre Tarentine.

Among IGP Apulian products we can mention the artichoke of Brindisi, the clementine of the Gulf of Taranto, the Burrata di Andria, the grape of Apulia, the Gargano orange and the white onion of Margherita di Savoia.

The Apulian gastronomic tradition is a union of the local agricultural production and the genuine flavours of this beautiful land.
