Hello there, my name is Valeria, I’m a Tour Guide in Puglia.
I was born and grown up in Puglia, in Monopoli (Bari), where I came back after living abroad for a while.
I do love my region… I love its colours, its landscapes, its flavours, its traditions.
It’s a kind of love you cannot explain, it fills your eyes, it takes your mind, it wins your heart.
A kind of love you cannot keep to yourself, you have to share it and that’s why I became a tourist guide.
The job of Tour Guide has been my big dream since I was a child, I have always been charmed by passionate tour guides and at some point in my life I have decided to make my wish come true.
So here I am… a licensed Apulian Tour Guide (badge n. 01615).
I’ve been working in Tourism industry since 2001 as hotel receptionist, Holiday Representative, Holiday Rentals Manager, Tourist Consultant.
I really like travelling and exploring places around the world, I have visited distant lands such as Thailand and California, countries with a long history such as Egypt and Greece, suggestive European capitals and nations and large part of our beautiful Italy.
I enjoy getting in touch with different cultures, learning about other ways of life, getting excited in front of a nice view, and over recent years I have started writing a travel blog www.viaggieitinerari.wordpress.com
And now it’s time for viaggieitinerari… in Puglia, which comes from my wanderlust, my love for Puglia and from what I have become; it is a site through which I would like to reveal, make you understand and feel the Puglia, not only the famous tourist destinations but also the most hidden location… the authentic Puglia with the old customs and traditions, the historical Puglia with its great artistic and cultural heritage, the natural Puglia with its extraordinary sceneries, the culinary Puglia with its delicious food.
